Product Introduction

The New Design BDU Military Camouflage Uniforms perfectly combines functionality and durability. It serves as a favorite among public safety professionals and other tactical operators. With tons of pockets and durable rip-stop fabric, BDU pants inspired the many styles of tactical pants available today. BDU-style uniforms and derivatives still see widespread use in other countries, while others are still worn by some U.S. federal, state and local law enforcement agencies or activities who may work in tactical situations. The reason for the BDU´s long life span, is its simple and effective design: robust materials, effective camouflages and its comfortable fit.

Camouflage Pattern & Color

MARPAT (short for Marine pattern) is a multi-scale camouflage pattern in use with the United States Marine Corps, designed in 2001 and introduced from late 2002 to early 2005 with the Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform (MCCUU), which replaced the Camouflage Utility Uniform. Its design and concept are based on the Canadian CADPAT pattern.

The pattern is formed of small rectangular pixels of color. In theory, it is a far more effective camouflage than standard uniform patterns because it mimics the dappled textures and rough boundaries found in natural settings. It is also known as the “digital pattern” or “digi-cammies” because of its micropattern (pixels) rather than the old macropattern (big blobs).

The Digital Woodland camo is a digital camouflage which replaced the classic Woodland pattern and is used with the United States Marine Corps. Because it mimics the dappled textures and rough boundaries found in natural woodland settings it works well in most of wooded, jungle, arid and tropical environments.

The Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) is a type of military uniform that was designed for field operations and combat. The BDU uniform typically consists of the following components:

  1. Shirt: The BDU shirt is a button-up shirt that is made from a durable cotton/polyester blend material. It features a collared neckline, a button front, and four large pockets with button-flap closures. The shirt is designed to be worn tucked into the pants and can be easily removed in the field.
  2. Pants: The BDU pants are designed with a loose fit and are made from the same cotton/polyester blend material as the shirt. The pants have a button fly and cargo pockets on the legs for carrying equipment. The pants are designed to be worn with a belt and can be easily adjusted for comfort.
  3. Headgear: The BDU uniform is typically worn with a variety of headgear, including helmets, hats, and caps, depending on the specific mission requirements.
  4. Footwear: The BDU uniform is typically worn with a variety of footwear, including combat boots, desert boots, and jungle boots, depending on the specific mission requirements.
  5. Color and Pattern: The BDU uniform was available in a range of colors and patterns, including woodland camouflage, desert camouflage, and solid olive green. The choice of color and pattern was determined by the service member’s branch of service and the specific mission requirements.

In addition to these core components, the BDU uniform was designed to be easily modified with the addition of protective gear, such as knee pads and elbow pads. The Velcro and button closures on the shirt and pants allowed for the addition of patches and other equipment, making the BDU uniform a highly customizable and versatile option for military personnel.
